Privacy Policy
JLC Logistics LLC ("JLC Logistics", "we", "us") leases on independent owner-operators to haul freight under our operating authority. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website or apply to lease on with us, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
The short version. We collect the details you type into our application (name, phone, equipment, experience, home state) so a recruiter can call you. We use advertising tools from Meta to measure our ads. We never sell your information, and we never share your text message consent with anyone. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to this website, its application form and the calls, texts and emails that follow from it. It does not cover the onboarding paperwork you complete if you decide to lease on, such as the lease agreement, background screening authorizations and insurance forms. Those come with their own written disclosures.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your full name and mobile phone number
- The equipment you run (power only, flatbed or step deck, dry van, reefer or hotshot)
- Your license type if you run hotshot, your driving experience and your home state
- Anything you tell us during calls or text conversations with our team
This website does not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license number or bank details. If you move forward after your first call, we request those through separate forms with their own notices and authorizations.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit
- The ad or link that brought you here, including campaign tags (UTM parameters) and Meta's click identifier (fbclid)
- Cookies and similar identifiers set by the Meta Pixel (such as _fbp and _fbc) when it is active on the site
- Short-lived data kept in your browser's session storage, for example the version of the page you saw and your first name so the confirmation page can greet you. It is deleted when you close the tab.
3. How we use your information
- To call or text you about your application and lease-on opportunities
- To match you with the right equipment program, dispatcher and freight
- To measure which ads and pages bring in owner-operators, and to improve them
- To keep the site secure and filter out spam and automated submissions
- To comply with legal obligations, including FMCSA leasing and recordkeeping rules once you lease on
4. Calls and text messages
When you submit our application, you agree that JLC Logistics LLC may call or text the mobile number you provide about your application and lease-on opportunities. Message frequency varies with your conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (614) 508-1519.
- Consent to texts is not a condition of leasing on with us. You can call us instead.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described in this policy.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us: website hosting (Netlify), our contact management system (Wix), and our phone and texting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement. When you submit the form, we may send Meta an event that includes a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your name, phone number and state, along with your IP address and browser details. Meta uses it to tell us which of our ads led to applications. We do not send the text of your answers.
- Partners you ask us to involve during onboarding, such as an insurance provider if you choose our insurance, or a background screening provider after you sign a separate authorization.
- Legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our drivers or the public.
- Business transfers, if JLC Logistics is merged, sold or reorganized, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. Cookies and advertising choices
The Meta Pixel helps us measure our ads and may be used to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Manage ads you see from Meta in your Facebook ad preferences.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy: to follow up on your application, to work with you if you lease on, and to meet legal and recordkeeping requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
8. How we protect information
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to applicant information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
- Stop texts by replying STOP, and ask us to stop calling you at any time.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collected, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request.

10. Age requirement
This website is meant for adults who hold or are getting a commercial driver's license. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we did, we delete it.
11. Other websites
Our site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
